It’s been such a year! I can’t begin to express my gratitude for all the awesome things that happened this year. And then some not so good things, too. All in all, a year. And even if I HAD an atavachron, I don’t think I’d go back and change anything.
LOL – But this is pretty awesome – Obsessed With Star Trek made Ain’t It Cool News’ Gift Guide! See the coolness here!
Another radio interview posted online, from Barry Morgan at CJAD. Thanks Barry! I have had such a great time talking to people, not just about the book, but about Trek in general. I know some people have problems talking on radio or TV. Self-absorbed ham that I am, I have NEVER had that problem. So all these interviews have been so much fun. I hope I do get to revisit with a lot of these people with another project, Trek-related or not, again.
Why write? Well … for moments like this …. There are other reasons, which are a separate post. But on this sunny day … for the first time in my life, I walked out of a bookstore an author. Awesome.
I have to say, I love my publisher, Chronicle Books – they’ve done some really cool, creative things to support my book – check this out: I wish I could be there! I did sign a copy of the book, though – so if you are in the SF area, stop by!!!!!
Another radio interview, from Doug Miles on Book Talk! Thanks so much, Doug, it was fun!
So, in case anyone is at all interested in writing, here’s my #1 tip (paraphrased from Princess Projectra/Sensor Girl in the Legion of Super Heroes, many years ago): Perfection is an illusion. It’s never truly possible to achieve.
Wow! My friend Paul just sent me this pic from the Bakersfield, CA Barnes & Noble … I have a fan! Thanks! I haven’t even gone to the bookstore yet to see my book on the shelves. Perhaps that will be my mission for today …
This is an awesome promo photo my buddy JLim did for me right before I signed at ComiCon 2011!
My buddy JLim made this to promote my San Diego ComiCon appearance! My teeth really do sparkle like that, too …
