What I Think About at Comic Conventions

1) Just once, I wish a comic con would make the wristbands look like Wonder Woman’s magic bracelets. 2) My spending limit today is $40. This is final. 3) They made a Dazzler statue?!? 4) How do I not have that already? 5) See # 2 above. Sad face.

It Is What It Is

The main reason I want some clone body technology, is to avoid ever spending another minute in an emergency room. Fixing problems like broken bones, lacerations, pneumonia and death, I feel should be as easy as replacing the batteries in my wireless mouse. Click and re-connect, please. In reality, I am sort of amazed at […]

Do we need another hero?

In moving forward in a couple of writing projects, I have been stalled several times and found myself asking,”Why? Why now? Why now, when I clearly need to get some things finished, become rich and famous and buy the house next door so I can knock it down and make a two-story pool that gets […]

What I Think About At The Gym

1. I hate coming here. 2. I want to swim, but I got sick the last two times I went in that pool. Those old people’s germs and diseases probably leap off them as they do those stupid waterobics. 3. Do they really need 36 giant TV screens in here? I don’t want to be […]

What I Think About At Concerts

Miss Scarlet In the Kitchen with the Glass Mug

I killed a baby lizard. Part of the reason I’m a vegetarian is that I can’t stand violence. I can barely tolerate anger, because I know the vast wells of anger I dip into can make me so blind with rage that I wish violence on people and things. So to kill something has left […]

Enter Sandman

For years, I’ve suffered from pretty intense headaches. Usually behind one eye or the other and they lasted for hours until I could sleep it off. Generally the only thing that ever helped was an extremely hot shower, and even that only helped temporarily unless I could fall asleep quickly enough. Last year, at a […]

Done is Better

One of the things about being a writer, especially one with one foot in the semi-corporate world and one barely in the entertainment (if mainly licensed) world, is – what can you safely blog about? Reviewing things (films, TV, incredibly heavy paperback copies of Game of Thrones) is dicey. If I tell the world what […]

Publisher’s Weekly loves me!!

LOL, okay, they don’t namecheck me, but they do talk about my books … as well as my buddy Paul’s upcoming and current books. Check out this great article about the current Star Trek publishing trends!
