DALLAS – Season 1, Episode 2 – “Lessons”

There’s a lot of lessons to be unpacked here. It’s a snowy day at Southfork and Lucy rides a horse out to the mailbox to steal and then burn a letter from school about her truancy. If this was really how schools addressed truancy in Texas in the 70s, I see what they’ve had so many issues about including facts in their history books now. My school called my mom if I missed one period.

Logan’s Run – Season 1. Episode 1 – “Pilot”

If there’s anything I love more than a post-apocalyptic quest show based on a film, I’m not sure what it is. In fact, I have a whole treatment written up for a Xanadu-based TV series where two humans and a muse search through the wilds of Sun Valley, CA trying to find a way back to 1983 Santa Monica. DALLAS Season 1 – Episode 1 – “Digger’s Daughter”

I still want to live here. It can’t be overstated how much Dallas impacted my life. I was 13 years old when it came on, and I don’t think my parents let my brother and me watch the pilot. But soon, every Friday night after the Dukes of Hazzard, we were all glued to the television set. I fell in love with Dallas in a way even Star Trek couldn’t touch.
